The Biggest Advance in Wellness in the Last 50 Years--The Fibro Hope Messenger-Oct. 30, 2006

Dedicated to Helping You
Recover from Fibromyalgia

Hi Everyone,

This newsletter has two parts. First of all, I was going to write about stress and how it robs you of nutrients, but this subject morphed into all the ways that you are robbed of nutrients.

For the second part, do not miss the end of this newsletter. It has information that will change your life and your health, if you only open your mind to it, which is what I had to do.

I've done a lot of research in the last couple weeks (which is why this newsletter is tardy) and this new product is being touted as the biggest advance in wellness in the last 50 years. It is helping every time, for everyone. I am so excited about this! More on this subject later.

First of all, there are so many things that can rob you of nutrients. But why do we need nutrients? Because that's what your body uses to make healthy cells, to digest food, to operate your organs, to smell, to think, to breathe, to pump your heart, to circulate your blood and to move your muscles. Everything you do, conscious or unconscious, voluntary or involuntary, requires nutrients.

What are some things that rob you of nutrients?

Stress is a biggy. It deprives you of nutrients because it sucks them up for the fight or flight response. I read recently that your body needs ten times the amount of calcium when you’re under stress. Can you believe this? One of my theories is that either emotional or physical stress is a major trigger of fibromyalgia. You get so low on nutrients, that your body cannot recover without extra support.

Now, if your digestive system is clogged, you are going to have poor nutrient absorption. If you have a history of constipation or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), lack of nutrient absorption can be a huge block to healing. Food allergies, whether known or hidden, can also contribute to a digestive system that is lined with gunk, preventing proper absorption of vitamins, minerals, etc.

Here’s one that I read about just last week. (OK, it's now been three weeks.) I saw this energy sapper on a magazine cover in the grocery store and I just had to buy it and read it. What you think this one is? It’s parasites. Yuck, I know.

Now I’ve read off and on about this and I wasn’t sure if I should really believe that parasites could be a problem. This article said that 30% of people have parasites and guess what? They do they steal your nutrients. They use the food you eat to maintain their survival, depriving you of energy and so much more.

What else is ruining our nutrients supply? Depleted soils. If there’s no zinc in the soil, there can’t be any zinc in the plants grown in that soil. (Zinc, is a very common deficiency. Incidentally, zinc helps kill parasites! Ah, the pieces start to fit, huh? More evidence that all-around good nutrition is needed.)

Can you think of anything else that’s stealing our nutrients? What comes to my mind is the way that food is transported and sold. In a period of three weeks for a fruit to get from the tree to the grocery store to your stomach, that fruit has lost much of it's nutrient value. That’s robbing your body of what it needs to operate.

When I lived in the Virgin Islands you might think that was all pleasant, lovely, and beautiful, right? It was difficult sometimes because of the food supply. It was almost impossible to get a fresh vegetable. I’d buy a cucumber from the grocery store, put it in my fridge, and the next day--the very next day, every time--it would be moldy.

Lack of a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, whether because of decreased nutrient value from the start, decreased supply, or lack of effort on your part to eat 5-9 fruits and veggies/day knocks down your intake of nutrients. Organic fruits and veggies have a much higher nutrient value, so if you can afford it, go for the organic.

Another modern practice that steals our nutrients is genetically modifyied food that is grown for consumption. This is because the genetically modified fruits and vegetables are made to grow big and they’re made to grow tasty and they're made to resists bugs, but they're not made to have a higher nutrient value. I wonder when/if this mentality of providing a well-rounded supply of nutrients will kick in?

Your best bet is to try to choose 'heritage plants' to grow in your garden. That’s the kind that is going to best suit you nutritionally. Your body can recognize these plants in their original form, digest them, and you will better be able to benefit from them.

Supplements that don’t dissolve in your system are depleting you of nutrients because if they don’t dissolve, your body cannot use them. It's also depleting your wallet, because if you not getting benefit from it--even if you only paid five bucks for the bottle--you are wasting that $5.00.

The other thing that is robbing us of nutrients is fast food, junk food, or highly processed food. Add to this our busy lifestyles and it’s so easy, sometimes necessary, to eat this stuff--but it’s not giving us much for nutrient value. I just heard a terrific alternative to running through the drive-thru before heading to a sporting event for the kids. Email me if you're interested.

When manufacturers take a loaf of bread, remove all the B-vitamins, and put back only three B-vitamins, that’s denying you nutrients. Drinking soda and coffee robs us of nutrients. (Don't get me wrong, I still drink coffee--half caff--and have a soda now and then. I'm not perfect and I'm not into deprivation.) Drinking fruit juice instead of the eating the whole fruit robs you of nutrients plus removes fiber from your diet.

So, all of these factors that rob you of nutrients is the reason why I believe supplements are key. They are key to rebuilding healthy cells, balancing your body, and allowing it to function normally, healthily. You'll relieve symptoms like fatigue, pain, waking in the wee hours, hair falling out, hormones going nuts, colds that linger, recurring sinus problems, nails that peel, and joints that ache, etc.

And this leads me to the second part of this newsletter. I've been investigating a new supplement from Norway. It has 97 years of research behind it. It has 20 years of manufacturing experience and studies on humans in Norway. It has been available in the US for only 2 years.

Now, I've been with Shaklee for 15 years and most of you know how highly I regard the quality products from Shaklee. That hasn't changed. And I have also heard many healing stories over the years that I've been involved with Shaklee. But I've never heard anything like what I'm hearing from this one new product.

It's essentially fish oil, literally shark oil. Fish oil contains DHA and EPA. The DHA feeds your brain and the EPA reduces inflammation. The difference with this new product is that it is highly concentrated to equal 15 gel caps of fish oil in only one teaspoon of this product. It also contains AKG's (alkylglycerols) which are the most powerful immune booster there is--the same thing found in a mother's breast milk.

I've always said that no one thing is going to be the answer to your fibromyalgia and other health issues. I may have to eat my words on this one. This product is being referred to as the biggest leap in wellness in the last 50 years. It's being used as a treatment for Ovarian Cancer in Norway. The Cancer stories are amazing.

But so are the fibro, lupus, arthritis, and heart disease stories. The ADHD, PMS, back pain, and sent-home-to-die stories. I'm told that this product works every time, for everyone. This is shocking to me. I want you to have these results. There's a money-back guarantee that you will feel better in 21 days, so you have nothing to lose.

I've taken this product for 7 days now.

1) My mood lifted after the first dose. (I had been trying to get off the anti-depressant that I quit smoking with almost 2 years ago and each time that I lowered my dose, I got extremely depressed.) I recovered from my last reduction and cut my anti-depressant in half again after only 3 days on the Alkyl Transfactor shark oil.
2) My eyes felt clearer and brighter after one dose, too. Now, after only one week, I can tell my eyesight has improved (I have weak eyeglasses for distance) My night vision has improved, too.
3) I'm sleeping even deeper.
4) My dark circles are disappearing. (I'm thinking it's better circulation.)
5) My joints started loosening up after two doses. (I didn't realize they were so tight!). I was feeling the need for a chiropractor visit, but now, I know I won't need to go. Everything is moving well.
6) I just got my period and had absolutely no PMS symptoms except one tiny zit that went away in a day. (I've been experimenting with products for over a year to help relieve my slight irritability and the appearance of one big, deep pimple that I would get before each menstrual period.) So, this product, Alkyl Transfactor, balances hormones, too.

I am shocked, but loving this product.

Here's my challenge to you: Try this product for 21 days. If you don't feel any improvement, you can get your money back. What have you got to lose, right?

After 21 days, I will give you a free Nutritional Assessment to see where your other nutritional deficiencies may be. Emily, the owner of a lab in Florida that tests blood levels of nutrients, said in a recent interview that literally everyone tests low for Omega 3's, so you need these nutrients. (You realize, I'm setting myself up to be swamped, so bear with me on my response time to this offer.)

I'm convinced you can improve your health through proper nutrition. Just give this a try and you'll understand why.

One more special note to forward your progress when it comes to putting fibro in your past for good: In the last month, I just released a new Interactive E-course that puts you in a mini health coaching program, supporting you to take actions that will improve your health instead sticking with your old habits that may be sabotaging your health. This E-course is free for a limited time. SIgn up for Interactive E-course here .

That's all I have for today, except to say that you will not get better just reading these newsletters. You have to take steps to make yourself well. No one is going to do it for you.

Have a terrific day--taking care of yourself first!

Love,
